Arty Perry

Group Founder; Senior Partner; Managing Director

Visionary leader and entrepreneur Artie has spent more than three decades developing and executing strategies for new and fast-growing companies.

From his early days on a dairy farm to leading global manufacturing initiatives, Artie’s career reflects an uncommon ability to spot emerging opportunities and build the infrastructure to capitalize on them. After pioneering solutions in the hemp industry (Hempgrid, 2018), Artie pivoted to green energy with Equitas Group in 2021. In 2022, he launched Equitas Technologies to support large-scale industry initiatives through digital transformation and technology monitoring tools. Equitas Innovation Networks was established in 2025 to address technology commercialization. Today, Artie leads Equitas Group and Equitas Innovation Networks, helping clients transition to Industry 4.0 and Web 4.0 environments through digital transformation and technology commercialization.

Before Equitas, Artie accelerated start-ups and fast-expanding automotive and aerospace manufacturers, supporting major U.S. plant launches for BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Boeing. These efforts led to multiple C-suite and managing board roles with Tier One suppliers, spanning buildouts, turnarounds, mergers, and acquisitions, as well as the launch of his engineering and logistics firm, 2AM Group. In 2008, 2AM Group was named “South Carolina’s Fastest Growing Company,” recognized among the fastest growing in the United States.

Over his career, he helped launch eight vehicle platforms for BMW, Mercedes-Benz and General Motors, and supported Boeing’s South Carolina facility launch for 787 Dreamliner supplier insourcing operations.

Artie also served in economic development and foreign direct investment roles supporting senior government leaders in the U.S. and abroad, including U.S. Senator Strom Thurmond, Governor Carroll Campbell, Governor David Beasley, Senator Hubert Stärker (Bavaria), and Governor Nikki Haley. This work provided him with deep insight into bridging government priorities and business growth needs.

Artie has served on multiple boards for U.S. and international companies and state development groups, including as Chairman of the South Carolina Automotive Manufacturers Council and the BMW North America Suppliers Council.

Artie earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with minors in Computer Science and Industrial Safety Operations from Newberry College, and completed post-graduate business studies at Harvard University, Michigan State University, New York University, the University of Berlin, the University of North Carolina, and the University of Oklahoma.
